Vision and Mission
History
Our school, formerly Live Oak Elementary, was opened in August 1968, as a kindergarten through sixth-grade campus. In 1997, Live Oak Elementary was renamed Ed Franz Elementary after Edward Franz, a former assistant principal of Live Oak Elementary and principal of Candlewood Elementary. In 2007, the school went through a renovation to update the facilities and add a new wing and cafeteria. Recently, the campus went through a redesign process during the 2021-2022 school year to become a Leadership Academy. The goal of Franz Leadership Academy is to empower our scholars to become well-rounded leaders who are responsible and accountable for their actions, can manage their emotions, make good decisions through problem-solving skills, and strive to become good citizens in the community.
We believe. . .
- Every child deserves to make a year's worth of growth annually.
- All students need to feel safe in order to learn.
- When we have high expectations of students and teachers and provide individualized support, everyone can reach their fullest potential.
Our Mission
At Franz Leadership Academy, we guide all students to achieve their personal best, while developing 21st century leadership qualities and skills.
Our Vision
Empowering students to become leaders!
