Academic Coach

I am so excited about the 2024-2025 school year.  Here is a little bit about me:

I was born in Mississippi but raised in Texas. By 6th grade, I was a student in the Judson ISD. As a matter of fact, I was the first graduating 6th grade class of Miller's Point Elementary. I attended Kitty Hawk Junior High and Judson High School. I graduated from Judson in 1994.  I went to college at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  I also earned my Masters Degree specializing in Reading from SWT.   After receiving my teaching degree, I became a 4th generation teacher. In 2022, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Leadership from LSU.  GEAUX TIGERS! This year will be my 23rd  year at Franz Leadership Academy and my 24th year of teaching.  A fun fact is, I attended Ed Franz Elementary as a 1st grader, and it is a privilege and a joy to teach at one of my former schools. 

Even though teaching takes up a large portion of my life, I do have a life outside of the classroom.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, and this year we will celebrate our 25th anniversary.  We have a talented, intelligent, hockey-playing 10th grader named Drew.  We also have bulldogs named Beaux Peep and Roz. In my spare time... I love watching my son play ice hockey, fishing in Rockport, and cheering for the NOLA Saints and LSU Tigers. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
