Dr. Kelle Lofton

Greetings Franz Families!

As the principal of Franz Leadership Academy, Home of the Mustangs, I want to welcome each of you to Franz.

I grew up in a military family that settled here in San Antonio when I was in elementary school. I attended Miller’s Point Elementary, Kitty Hawk Middle School, and I graduated from Judson High School in 1997. I went on to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, TX (WHOOP) to receive my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I attended Lamar University for my Master of Education degree in Educational Administration, received a doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership from Walden University.

I began my career in education in Dallas ISD, before moving back to San Antonio, and rejoining the Judson ISD family as a teacher. In my 10 years as a teacher, I taught 1st and 4th grades, and have also been an RTI teacher. I have been in administration for 13 years. I was an Academic Dean, Assistant Principal at the elementary and middle school levels, and I am beginning my 8th year as the PROUD principal of Franz Leadership Academy.

Franz is a friendly neighborhood school in the heart of Live Oak, TX. We are thankful to have a strong community that is supportive of our school and our students. As a life-long learner, and a product of Judson ISD schools I believe that all students can learn, and at Franz, we work tirelessly every day to provide each student what they need to learn and grow. We have a focus on core academics, leadership skills, and social emotional learning so that we are teaching the whole child. At Franz, your child will learn, grow, and be loved. They will gain independence and be accountable and responsible for their choices, as they learn to be productive citizens. It is our goal that our students not only receive a quality education, but that they are enriched and gain the ability to problem solve, think critically, and become leaders.
